WUJS Photo Competition

The end of the academic year is soon upon us and summer is just around the corner. WUJS has opened a photo competition for all its members and affiliates along the theme of “Jewish Student Life”, this can include pictures of activism, campus parties, religious gatherings or just fun moments that you have with your Jewish friends. The most arty, imaginative, moving or downright funny photo will be judged to be the winner, with prizes for the runners up and albums of all the top photos available at a small contribution.


Take a photo with your smartphone, use the hashtag #wujsphoto and you could win up to $400 is selected by our judges! If you don’t have a smart phone then photo files can be sent to us at info@wujs.org.il. Instructions, Terms and Coniditions

From April 28th until EUJS’ SUMMER U 2013 you can submit as many photos as you like to instagram, pinterest or to our email address or facebook page. Photos must be taken by you and must be along the theme of “Jewish Student Life”. ALL persons featured in the photo must give permission and photos, once public can not be de-selected. Content should be fun but clean and without offensive or overtly-political messaging. Photos must be submitted by member who are over 18 and a member of either a national Jewish Students Union or a wujs affiliate member. If you are unsure of your status please check with your local campus representative. During the month we will display the photos on our facebook, share them on our website and perhaps even hang some on the walls of WUJS HQ on Ben Yehudah Street. The photos will be judged by a panel of WUJS Executive at the AJC Summit in D.C at the beginning of May and winners will be announced. First prize will be $400, two runners up will receive $200 and two finalists will receive $100 each. Prize money will be bank transferred within 28 days of the winners being announced.
