WUJS at the AJC Global Forum 2026

From May 29 to June 2, WUJS was proud to participate in the AJC Global Forum in New York, one of the leading international gatherings of Jewish leaders, policymakers, diplomats, and community representatives.

WUJS was represented by a delegation of 16 Jewish student leaders from around the world, bringing diverse perspectives from their communities and campuses. Throughout the Forum, the delegation took part in discussions focused on the challenges and opportunities facing Jewish communities worldwide, with a particular emphasis on the experiences of Jewish students and young leaders.

A key highlight of the Forum was the announcement of a new strategic partnership between AJC and WUJS, presented by AJC CEO Ted Deutch and WUJS President Ariela Di Gioacchino. As part of this collaboration, the two organisations will launch the first-ever North American Student Summit, bringing together Jewish student leaders from around the world with their peers from the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The Summit will create a platform to exchange best practices, strengthen international cooperation, deepen Jewish identity, and empower the next generation of Jewish leaders. This partnership reflects the shared commitment of WUJS and AJC to investing in Jewish students and ensuring their voices help shape the future of the global Jewish community. WUJS is grateful to AJC for its longstanding partnership and looks forward to bringing this exciting new initiative to life!
