On February 22, 2026, WUJS launched the first episode of its new series WUJS Meets, created to connect Jewish student unions from around the world and give them a platform to share their stories. The session was held online and later published on YouTube, allowing it to reach a wider audience beyond those attending in real time. The event featured Jewish Youth Pioneers India, with Sharon Samuel and Arnon Benjamin introducing their community to the global network. Moderated by WUJS President Ariela Di Gioacchino, the conversation, titled “Shalom Namaste”, explored the rich and diverse heritage of India’s Jewish communities, including the Cochini, Baghdadi, and Bene Israel traditions. Participants were given a glimpse into Jewish life in India today, from cultural practices and community structures to the presence of over 30 students and young professionals across the world.
