Extraordinary General Assembly (Online)

On January 21, 2026, WUJS convened an online Extraordinary General Assembly following the resignation of President Josh Cohen. The Assembly brought together both the outgoing and incoming leadership, ensuring continuity during an important moment for the organisation. During the session, Ariela Di Gioacchino was elected as the new President of WUJS. Her candidacy, jointly put forward by the European Union of Jewish Students (EUJS) and the Argentinian Union of Jewish Students (AUJA), received unanimous support from the Assembly. This moment marked not only a leadership transition, but also the beginning of a new phase for WUJS, with a renewed focus on strengthening its global network and expanding its impact. 

Her mandate officially began on 1 February 2026.
