The World Union of Jewish Students is delighted to announce that we hosted 17 young political leaders in Israel from 22-27th September of this month. The students came from Italy, South Africa, Belgium, Ukraine, Germany, Finland, Norway, Malta and Greece and represented a broad spectrum of political viewpoints. Typically most of the participants were either representatives of the youth wing of a political party, their National Union of Students, or NGO’s.
WUJS committed to hosting a non-partizan, educational experience in order to broaden the understanding of the region of young political leaders. Included in the trip were meetings with prominent Knesset members and NGO’s (including the Bereaved Families Forum), as well as visits to Better Place, Yad Vashem, and Sderot, as well as a trip to Ramallah in the West Bank to meet with representatives of One Voice Palestine.
