The World Union of Jewish Students held its annual Congress from 26th-31st of January in Jerusalem, Israel. The Congress saw over a hundred Jewish student leaders from twenty-five countries come together in Jerusalem to address the major issues affecting the Jewish people.
This years Congress saw an exciting schedule that included a debate panel between Deputy Foreign Minister MK Danny Ayalon, MK Professor Avishay Braverman and MK Dr. Nachman Shai, a key-note address from Chief Palestinian Negotiator Saeb Erekat and our attendance at the graduation ceremony of an Israeli Air Force flight academy.
The WUJS AGM took place on the Thursday of the Congress during which delegates voted overwhelmingly to speak out against the trend of segregated buses in certain routes in Israel. Various projects were also committed to included the compilation of a database of successful projects run across Jewish unions.
