The annual WUJS Awards are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate all the people who have contributed and dedicated themselves to Jewish life on campus. It is a night where students from unions all over the world can join together to celebrate all that they have achieved the past year.
We want to make students feel proud of their activities on campus, to remind them that what they’re doing makes a difference and has a positive, tangible impact on student life. We award prizes for a whole host of campus activity. Celebrating young leaders who have promoted Jewish and Israel education, organised events of significance and import, actively engaged with interfaith or led a social action campaign are just a few of the awards offered.
This year we have added a number of new awards and we received more nominations than ever before.
Well done to everyone who contributes to Jewish life on campus and specifically those who have been shortlisted. Here is a list of the nominees:
Every week we profile an activist on our social media; either from within WUJS itself or from one of our member organisations. Up until now, our team have selected the activists we've profiled but now we want to hear from you. Do you know someone who should be our Activist of the Week? Nominate them using the form below!
We are pleased to announce the opening of nominations for the second annual Metta Saade Family Award for Campus Heroes. This award honours one non-Jewish student activist who has demonstrated extraordinary bravery and commitment to the Jewish people in standing up to antisemitism and the BDS movement. The selected award recipient will be flown to Israel for WUJS Congress where they will be presented with the award and share their stories and expertise. A committee of WUJS leaders together with the Metta Saade Family will select the winner.
