The end of the academic year is soon upon us and summer is just around the corner. WUJS has opened a photo competition for all its members and affiliates along the theme of “Jewish Student Life”, this can include pictures of activism, campus parties, religious gatherings or just fun moments that you have with your Jewish friends. The most arty, imaginative, moving or downright funny photo will be judged to be the winner, with prizes for the runners up and albums of all the top photos available at a small contribution.
Following the inconclusive election at WUJS Congress 2012 the position of Chairperson is now open for applications. The Chairperson Co-opt will lead the Union from their co-option at AJC Summit (held by the Executive in Washington D.C in early June) until the election day of WUJS Winter Congress 2013. During this congress they may stand as an elected candidate.

Yoni argues that the grassroots activists are being overlooked and local unions underfunded. With the economic downturn and a cut in funding many student organizations are running on smaller and smaller budgets, however, Jewish students are coming under increasing pressure to disavow their heritage and nationhood on near-unprecedented levels.
