Yad Vashem Teaching Guidelines
- The Holocaust should be taught as a historical event of tremendous, but not mystical, proportions.
- Study of the Holocaust should be based on a range of disciplines, resting on a foundation of knowledge.
- The complexity and diversity of human behavior during the Holocaust should be addressed.
-Manipulation of students' emotions is fundamentally invalid. The choice of materials and selection of subject matter must be
appropriate in order to prevent damage to students' emotional well-being. Simulation should be avoided in most cases.
