WUJS will be holding its Annual General Assembly on January 1st in Jerusalem. Each of its member Unions are welcome to send either delegates or proxies to vote at the Assembly and there will a wide range of business to be discussed. This will all take place on the sidelines of Congress 2013 which promises to bring up to 100 Jewish student leaders to Israel. The election for Chairperson will be held on this day and applications will be explained here.
If you would like to run for Chairperson please submit your interest to our Director, Yoni, who will pass it on to the steering committee. The Chairperson of WUJS must reside in Israel and lead the Union on a full time basis. The salary is currently raised through private fundraising and this is not guaranteed.
This year’s assembly will elect two National Member Unions to sit, on a two-year term, on the WUJS Executive. If you would like your Union to take its seat at the top table and help steer the Union in-between Congresses then this is your chance. Submissions must be sent to Yoni who will guide your Union through the process. This is only open to National Member Unions, if you are unsure of your WUJS status please email Yoni asap.
Constitutional Amendments will be open from December 1st due to the current writing of a new legal constitution that is acceptable to the Israeli Charities Ministry. If you would like to read the new constitution and submit an amendment please contact Yoni so that he may keep you updated in this process.
All further questions, queries or suggestions can be made to Yoni – email@example.com
