Where to hold meetings.
Different places attract different people.
When deciding where to hold your meeting think about:
Parking; accessibility of location, seating capacity.
Who you want to attract.
Each place will have a different atmosphere e.g. a place off campus in someone's home vs a place on campus in a classroom or Hillel.
Advantages to Hillel or local synagogue
It is a "safe" and familiar environment with free use of good facilities/equipment. However, such places will only attract certain Jews and places might discourage certain Jews from attending.
Other Possible Locations to think about: the Student Union, Lecture Halls,
(On American campuses you might be able to use Fraternities and Sororities – although bear in mind that this can make non-Greeks nervous!)
You may choose to rotate the locations for your meetings but sometimes people assume that groups have their meetings in the same places. Also people feel comfortable in environments they become used to so don't move around too much.
